Ben's Beauty Jolie / A Golden Opportunity

 

I had been thinking, after starting my blog work with PM that it would be nice to have someone else to blog for.  So it was a pleasant surprise when Milla Crumb came to me and asked me if I would like to blog for the Ben's Beauty brand.   I have been friends with her for many years as we worked at Ghee together - I was a live model until I retired and she (of course) was the Ghee Girl.

There are certain models I will always look up to and appreciate for the work they do and I am so blessed to have come into contact with them.  They have been my inspiration and my encouragement. 

Bea Serendipity was one.  She was irreplaceable and her loss is still felt. She took a chance on hiring a new model that no one had ever heard of when she hired me.  Jamee Sandalwood is another as she gave me opportunities with Best of Second Life and my first experiences as a themed fashion show script writer.  She was always there for me when I had a question or needed to talk about something.   Then there is Jonelle Devonshire.  I still laugh at the fun we had at my very first shoot with BOSL. The photographer was WrenNoir Cerise and it was an Alice In Wonderland theme.  We spent most of the time virtual throwing cupcakes and tea at each other.   There was also Morgan Whitfield, whose tireless work against domestic violence was inspirational.  I was able to take part in two of her photo campaigns as a model.   

Then there is Lolita Paragorn.  I first met her when she consented to do an interview with me for BOSL.  For all her talents and achievements she was very kind to me and came across as very humble.  For the June 2023 issue of BOSL I wanted to do a profile of Poulet Koenkamp of PM and asked her if she would collaborate with me on it.  I wrote the article and she took all the pictures.  I will always be so thankful to her for being willing to do that.  You can see her work here with my article:

 She is, without any exaggeration, an inspiration to me and makes me want to become a better model and blogger.  No doubt just one of SL residents to feel that way.
